Hey WallyGator and Cooptrvlr.....What's with people like you? This is supposed to be about music NOT politics!
To educate both of you---A survey was ... done with long time deadheads. Guess what? Most of them said they were conservatives (after they grew up).
All that matters is that people dig the music, not what their politics are.
I Don't usually do reviews but sometimes I just can't believe how mean spirited some people are and just have to say something (the review is about you 2).
All the people that love this music deserve better than to have you two polluting this site with your mean-spirited rants.
Oh Crap! Now you've pulled me down into the gutter with you!.................Later P.M.

Subject: Great Jams!
Subject: Great Jams!
This show is full of tasty jams and the sound quality is great for an AUD. I always liked this line-up as they did a great job and were highly under-rated.
...
I love these jazzy Phil years 98/99/00. I don't bother with much past this era, especially any thing with Warren...can't stand his guitar noize and his noodling as it just does not work with GD tunes. Nothing beats the Phil/Kimock era...nothing. Nowadays Phil seems to be more about gimmicks but I do wish he'd go back to his cooler years of 98/99/00.

I really wasn't impressed with this show. Given the ensemble, I'd have expected more. The second night was better but I still have a hard time giving
...
it a 4. This show gets a 2.
The previous reviewer should really keep his personal grievences under cover. Calling someone a Republican is the lowest form of degradation anyone can muster, it's worse than, "scum of the earth". This is not the place for such humiliation. Reviewers should keep in mind, this is about the music!

Audio quality: 5/5, great quality especially considering it's an AUD. This sounds better than a lot of SBDs to be honest. Crisp sound, a few distortions
...
but nothing major.
Performance: 5/5, one of my favorite PLF shows by far. The jamming is deep and jazzy. The set-list is pretty good as well. Particularly spicy is the offering of Tangled Hangars > CRS > Eyes. Not to be missed- get this show.

Hey man. I actually appreciate the attempt to get this lineup more credit than it has gotten, because it is full of quality.....but to play devils advocate
...
here, you go so far overboard with your comments to bolster the support for this lineup that it makes me too uncomfortable to not say something...."Best P&F lineup Ever"???? Come on man. Take a week off the acid dosing and chill with the bong while you write reviews. I'll ceremoniously puff down after I have protected the intregrity of the truly great phil lineups unlike you who are clearly getting your head party on way too early. So this lineup with the marginal Barerre and Payne is better than the Page McConnell, Trey Anastasio, Steve Kimock, John Molo, and Phil Lesh lineup?? And its also better than the prime years of the epic Haynes/Herring/Barraco lineup? No way buddy. The only reason why this show is great is because Barerre and Payne are so marginal that they lay back for the Omnipotent and god-like mastery of THE Steve Kimock. Although I will admit that the piano here is def way better that Barraco, (barraco provided someting to that other lineup in his backup vocals though, and a weaker piano was needed for the overwhelming fire and ice of Haynes and Herring guitar work but I digress); this piano work is second only the Page's and the short run with Kyle Hollingsworth. I also seem to remember a show or two or a short run with Pete Sears at some point??? i might be wrong about that, but if so, he was probably on par with this as well. But anyway, great show nonthe less, I just hate the inevitably incorrect proclamations about best songer versions, lineups of bands, performances etc etc...give it a break and just listen to the music people. LOVE TO ALL.....Peace
